usual questing visit to the Parish on Tuesday 26 August.
SCHOOL REOPENING
Saint Peter's School, Ardrossan will reopen on Wednesday 27 August at 10.00 am.
School dinners will not be served on the opening day and pupils will be dismissed
early in the afternoon. Pupils from Primary 3 - Miss Bale's class last session
- should report to the Eglinton Annexe.
BELFAST
One of the Catholic papers has announced that it has opened a fund for the relief
of people in Belfast. Owing to the connections that this Parish has with that
area, it is proper that some assistance should be given. The sum of £50
has been sent. A collection will be made later for the replacement of that amount.
MASS INTENTIONS
Every priest is under a strict obligation to account
for every intention he accepts. Please do not add to his obligation by handing
money at odd times and in odd places. Please put the offering in an envelope which
should have the intention written on it.
HOLY COMMUNION
For the benefit
of visitors, it should be noted that when receiving Holy Communion, approach to
the Altar should be made by the centre aisle, returning to seats by the side aisles.
Please follow directions from passkeepers.
MOTORISTS
Motorists who
attend the 8.00 am Mass on Sundays are asked, please, not to park their cars between
the entrance to the property and the lamp standard. The reason is that space should
be left for the special Church bus. At all Masses, will motorists please note
that cars must not be parked inside the grounds nor should the road from the garage
to the back of the Church be obstructed.
