OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £794.62. We are grateful for your generous support of the Parish. Banker's Orders amount to an average of £4000 per month.

BANKER'S ORDERS, GIFT AID AND WILLS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £322.15 - many thanks.

CONFIRMATION AND HOLY COMMUNION
Fourteen of our children are being confirmed at the 10.00 am Mass today. They will then receive Holy Communion for the first time. Please pray for them.

GALLOWAY VOICES
Galloway Voices, the Diocesan Choir will sing at the 12.00 noon Mass on Sunday 31 May. They are well worth hearing and will add to the prayerfulness of the Mass.

CROSSHOUSE HOSPITAL
You can contact Reverend Deacon Gordon Tustin on 07515 698 180 to notify him if you or a family member is going into Crosshouse. The hospital is unable do it. A message will be passed on. If you or a family member is housebound, please let us know. Unless told, we don’t know about it.

50-50 CLUB
Fourteen places remain vacant so anyone wishing to join 50-50 Club should contact Mrs Sammons.

SAINT PETER’S CHILDREN’S CENTRE
A few afternoon places are available in the nursery starting in August 2009 for children who have reached their third birthday. For more information and to register phone Josephine.

SMITHSTONE HOUSE SUMMER FAYRE
The Smithstone House Summer Fayre takes place on Sunday 7 June from 2.00 to 4.00 pm. Enjoy an afternoon out for all the family at Smithstone House and Grounds, Kilwinning. Everyone is welcome.

BEETLE DRIVE
Saint Peter’s Parent Council is hosting a Beetle Drive on Friday 5 June at 7.00 pm. Tickets cost £1.50 for and adule and £1.00 for a child. Come along for some family fun. All are welcome. For more information, please contact Michelle.

KITS FOR KIDS
Tass Thistle Under-10 Football Club would greatly appreciate the tokens from the Daily Record collected over the next ten weeks. Please drop them in the box at the stall. Thanks.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY
We are in need of more volunteers for the Children’s Liturgy for the coming August session. As it takes a little time to gain disclosure, we need to think ahead. Please consider becoming a volunteer, especially if your child is currently in Primary 3 as they will be taking part in the Sacramental Preparation next year or if your child will be joining our Pre-5 Liturgy Group in August. IN YOUR THIRTIES?
There is a group for Catholics in their thirties. It organises a variety of social and spiritual events in Glasgow and the West of Scotland as well as walks, weekends away, holidays, pilgrimages and retreats. If you would like to find out more about the group you are invited to a Newcomers' Mass on Saturday 9 May at 7.00 pm at the Convent of Mercy, 62 Hill Street, Glasgow, G3 6RH. Please use the entrance and parking at the back, off Scott Street. Drinks are available afterwards. There is no need to book - just turn up. A TASTE OF ITALY
A partnership between the Italian Twinning Group and the parish has been arranged for Friday 29 May. Details are on posters and tickets costing £15 are available from the Parish Office on 464063. There will be a four course meal and music by Paolo and Angela. All are welcome regardless of nationality.

THURSDAY CLUB TRIP TO PERTH
The Thursday Club trip to Perth is on Tuesday 26 May. The bus will leave from Stanley Road at 9.30am and follow the bus route.

BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE
If you can, please give blood in the Civic Centre on the afternoon or evening of Wednesday 27 May.

CLEANER REQUIRED
The Parish Centre requires a part-time cleaner for approximately 12 hours per week. For more information, please contact Margaret at the Parish Office or Fiona.

VANDALISM
There is continual vandalism to the fence, garden and play area of the Nursery at the side of the Parish Centre - usually on a Sunday morning after Mass. The expense to the nursery is mounting so can we please remind parents that the Nursery area is out of bounds and not a general playground. Please keep your children out of this area and report any culprits.

SCOTUS THANKSGIVING MASS
A thanksgiving Mass for the sixteen years of Scotus College will be held on Sunday 24 May 2009 at 3.00 pm in the College Chapel, Glasgow. All are welcome.
