CHILDREN'S LITURGY
The Children's Liturgy is run by volunteers on a rota basis. We are in need of more volunteers for the coming August session. Anyone can volunteer! As it takes a little time to gain disclosure, we need to think ahead. Please consider becoming a volunteer, especially if your child is currently in Primary 3 as they will be taking part in the Sacramental Preparation next year or if your child will be joining our three to five year olds Liturgy Group in August. If you are interested, please contact the Parish Office on 464063. Next Sunday's Children's Liturgy helpers are Emma Paterson and Elaine Shaw for the pre-5s, Maria Paterson and Ann Cassidy for primaries 1 and 2 and Jacqueline Smith and Michelle Millar for primary 3.

Sixteen to twenty-one year olds are invited to join a group from Galloway Diocese which will take part in the youth events at the New Dawn Scotland Family Conference-Retreat in Saint Andrews, Fife from Monday 2 July to Saturday 7 July 2012. The week offers the opportunity for young people to celebrate their Catholic faith with others their age through worship, talks, workshops, ministry, healing, celebration of the Sacraments and Mass and prayer and a pilgrimage walk to the historic ruins of Saint Andrew's Cathedral. The cost is £90 including transport from Ayrshire, accommodation and meals. For more information see www.GallowayYouth.org.uk or contact Father Stephen McGrattan at FrStephen@GallowayYouth.org.uk or on 01290 421031.

Please contact Myriame Sammons, the Promoter, if you would like to join the 50/50 Club. It is a valuable source of income for the parish, and gives you a chance to win valuable prizes.

LAPEL CROSSES
Cardinal O’Brien called on all Catholics to 'wear a cross with pride' these days. We have a few lapel crosses available at the stall.

CHRISTIAN AID BARBECUE
It is hoped to repeat last year’s very successful barbecue on the afternoon of Sunday 12 August. All the churches in Ardrossan will take part.

CHURCH REPAIRS
We have a lot of maintenance to take care of. Lead has been stolen again and the Church needs painting. Brown envelope donations stand at £2974.50.

ADVERTISER SUPPORT
Our advertisers would welcome your support. We are grateful for their continuing sponsorship. We are grateful for the support of Mr and Mrs Sohal, Nisa Stores, Glasgow Street for the weekly donation of tea, coffee and milk for the Sunday teas.

THANKS
Celia, Janet and Allan Procter and families would like to thank everyone for their support, cards and Mass cards after Dad’s death. Thanks to Canon Matt for his kindness and Paul Stevenson and the Cheery Cup for everything that they did.

USED PRINTER CARTRIDGES AND OLD MOBILE PHONES
There is a large green box in the foyer of the Parish Centre and a small box at the stall where you can place all old printer cartridges and mobile phones for us to recycle. Through recycling these we can raise some much needed funds. Thanks.

EVENING SAIL TO ARRAN
We have had a couple of very successful evening sails to Arran and back. Just buy a ticket and meet on the boat which sails at about 6.00 pm and returns before 9.00 pm by staying on board. Alternatively, you could go during the day and come back with us. Bring a picnic and perhaps something to wash it down or buy food on the boat. If it is a wild night, just stay at home. It makes no money but is a good evening out. The date will be arranged soon.

PAPAL BLESSINGS
Papal Blessings for a
wedding, wedding anniversary or a special birthday can be ordered at the stall. The price of the parchment and postage has gone up drastically. We now have to ask £40 for the Blessing. Please leave plenty of time.

NEW MISSAL
New Missals containing the new Rite are now available at the stall £7.99 or £9.99.

LARGE PRINT MASS BOOKS
Mass Books in Polish are available from the stall. Sunday Readings in most European languages can be printed from the parish website.

There is a nice selection of Novena Candles available at the stall.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone. It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever capacity
with the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
