THIS WEEK'S ARRANGEMENTS
Canon Matt is with his classmates. We were ordained on 3 April 1965 and try to spend Easter Week together each year. Canon Poland (463225) and Father Bell (463461) are both at home. The Parish Office will be closed on Easter Monday. The Funeral Mass for Michael Reilly will be on Thursday 4 April at 1.00 pm with Reception of Remains on Wednesday 3 April at 6.00 pm.

Sunday Mass times in Saint Peter's are 5.30 pm Vigil and 10.30 am. Sunday Mass times in other local parishes can be seen here.

SACRAMENT OF FORGIVENESS
The Sacrament of Forgiveness is available at any suitable time as well as from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £650.35 - many thanks. We are grateful for your generous support of the parish and the diocese to which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to
£280.68 - many thanks.


CHURCH REPAIRS
The help you give for Church repairs by dropping in a white envelope from time to time is invaluable. We have a continuing task in keeping the Church wind and watertight. We recently received a donation of £50.

BANKER'S ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are available.

GIFT AID
Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church. We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every £1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation. There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.

THANKS
Don Brown and family would like to thank our friends and parishioners for the many Mass cards and sympathy cards on our recent loss. The retiring collection raised £283 which we will donate to North Ayrshire Cancer Care.

1ST ARDROSSAN RAINBOWS
The 1st Ardrossan Brownies restart on Monday 15 April. We have a few places available for girls between five and seven years to join us right away. Please contact the Leader of the Group, Mrs Sammons on 469006 to make arrangements.

SPECIAL RELIGIOUS DEVELOPMENT GROUP - SPRED IN STEVENSTON
SPRED is a journey in faith and friendship with our parishioners who have learning difficulties. A group meets in Saint John’s Hall, Stevenston on a Wednesday evening from 7.00 to 9.00 pm. Volunteers are required for the continuing of this beautiful ministry. No experience is necessary as training will be given. Could you consider offering yourself during this Year of Faith? SPECIAL RELIGIOUS DEVELOPMENT GROUP - SPRED TRAINEE ASSISTANT REQUIRED
The Diocese of Galloway requires a SPRED Assistant for Spiritual and Personal Development for people with special needs. The applicant should be a committed Catholic with arelevant professional qualification or experience and good interpersonal and people skills. The appointment is initially a two year training post with a 20 hours fixed term contract during which the appointed candidate must successfully complete the specialised SPRED training. The applicant will be based in Ayr to assist in the development of SPRED throughout the diocese. PARISH LOURDES GROUP
The Parish Lourdes Group has received a note of thanks from the Grotto authorities for the donation given to assist with the rebuilding of the Baths following the disastrous floods.

PRINTER CARTRIDGES
Thank you to all those who kindly donated their used printer cartridges over the past few months. We have managed to raise £42 for Saint Peter’s Building Fund. If you would like to donate a used printer cartridge, the collection box is located at the stall. Thank you very much.

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES
The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes is from Monday 8 July to Monday 15 July 2013, flying from Prestwick. All inclusive prices are from £679 per person sharing. Full details are available from Joe Walsh Tours on 0141 530 5060 or info@JoeWalshTours.ie.

There is a nice selection of novena and grave candles at the stall.

PAPAL BLESSINGS
Papal Blessings for a wedding, wedding anniversary or a special birthday can be ordered at the stall. The price of the parchment and postage has gone up drastically. We now have to ask £40 for the Blessing. Please leave plenty of time.

A SHORT HISTORY OF SAINT BRENDAN’S CHURCH, SALTCOATS
The book, A Short History Of Saint Brendan's Church, Saltcoats is now available from the stall at Saint Mary's Church, Saltcoats for £10.

YEAR OF FAITH
To mark the Year of Faith, the Bishops of Scotland have set up a special website and social media feeds to help us learn about all that is happening at local, national and international level and to assist us to grow in faith during this time of grace. LOURDES
This year’s Jumbulance pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from 25 April to 4 May. There are places available for both helpers and assisted pilgrims. The Jumbulance is operated by ACROSS and designed to allow even those who would be unable to fly the opportunity to go on pilgrimage to Lourdes. At present, this group is the only one based in our diocese, originating in Hurlford, but is open to all of Galloway Diocese and indeed beyond. SCOTLAND’S RIO
Would you like to celebrate Brazil’s World Youth Day in Scotland this summer? A Scottish World Youth Day event with talks, prayer, worship, social events, live links to Brazil, a Brazilian festival and much more will take place at Stirling University from 25 to 28 July. It is open to those aged from fourteen to twenty-five years. The cost is £150 including accommodation, transport and food. Please complete an application form and return it by 22 April. VISITORS
Are you visiting us for Mass? Please know that you are very welcome. During the 10.30 am Mass outwith holidays, there is a Children’s Liturgy provided for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme for children in Primary 4. After the 10.30 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and buns are available in the Parish Centre. At both of our weekend Masses, we have a second collection for our Parish Centre debt.


KITS FOR KIDS 2013
Tass Thistle Colts have been selected to take part in the Daily Record and Sunday Mail Kits for Kids. Some of our younger parishioners are involved. The team has to collect a target of 5000 tokens over the ten week promotion duration. The tokens appear every day in the Daily Record and Sunday Mail. Please drop the tokens off at the stall. Kits for Kids 2013 is in association with Lloyds TSB Scotland. Last year, it gave away kit and training gear to 400 teams all over the country all thanks to the Daily Record and Sunday Mail. Lloyds TSB Scotland has been supporting the great initiative for three years, as well as being sponsors of Scottish Schools Football Association. Their support includes girls' and boys' competitions across the country and the Scottish Schools International squads. Kits for Kids will give 400 teams the chance to get free gear for the whole squad. We’ve got kit for both seven-a-side team and eleven-a-side teams.
