SUNDAY MASS TIMES
Sunday Mass times in Saint Peter's are 5.30 pm Vigil and 10.30 am. Sunday Mass times in other local parishes can be seen here.

SACRAMENT OF FORGIVENESS
The Sacrament of Forgiveness is available at any suitable time as well as from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

FINANCES
Bankers Orders for the parish and Parish Centre amount to £3800 per month. Every month, we pay a levy of £1450 to the Diocese. We are grateful for your generous support in collections. If you can manage a little more from time to time, it would be a great help. Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are available. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £631.44 - many thanks.

BUILDING FUND COLLECTION
Last weekend's Building Fund collection amounted to £260.47 - many thanks.

GIFT AID
The Inland Revenue now requires us to use a new style of Gift Aid form. These are available at the back of the Church and on the parish website. If you pay tax, please complete the new form and return it to the box provided. This allows us to provide the additional information required on the Gift Aid claim. Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church. We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every £1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation. There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.

COLLECTION ENVELOPES
New collection envelopes are now available at the stall. Please let us know if you wish to switch to a standing order. Forms are available.

READERS
Next weekend's readers are Katrina Pollock at 5.30 pm and Robert Cooper at 10.30 am.

ALTAR SERVERS

CONFIRMATION AND HOLY COMMUNION
Lee, Finn, Sam, Aiden, Ami, Lewis, Alexander, Josh, Connor and Jennifer will receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion for the first tome today. With the other twenty-six children who have been Confirmed and received Holy Communion over the last couple of weeks, we offer our prayers for them and their parents and families.

SACRAMENT OF FORGIVENESS
Twenty-four of the younger children will celebrate the Sacrament of Forgiveness for the first time on Monday evening at 6.00 pm. They too deserve and require our prayers for their Faith Journey.

EOGHAN
Holy Mass is being offered for Eoghan, one of our altar servers, who is now one year on from serious brain surgery and who continues to make good progress. The Mass is to thank everyone for their prayers and to ask for continued
prayer.

Carla and Joseph are being married on Tuesday in a simple service before a family marriage blessing in Spain next week.

STALL
Confirmation and First Communion gifts are available at the stall.

It is proposed that an afternoon two hour session for children aged two to three years will start in August. Please contact Josephine Coulter on 473030 for more information.

EMBRACING CHANGE
Embracing Change is the process going on throughout the Diocese as we prepare for a time when we have fewer priests and a Church being enlivened by Pope Francis. As has been mentioned, the priests of this Deanery have been meeting since Christmas to discuss our leadership role in a time of change. Largs and Millport now share a Parish Priest as do Kilbirnie, Beith and Dalry. Saint Margaret's in Irvine has closed. The full text of the notes of our meetings is on the parish website at www.SaintPeterInChains.net. This might give you a flavour of our thinking and planning. There is also a brief timetable. The Sunday afternoon times of prayer during Lent were important and were quite well attended. The next step is a Deanery Pentecost Service in Saint John’s, Stevenston on Pentecost Sunday, 8 June at 3.00 pm. It is a celebration of who we are as Church and our shared gifts and abilities. It is a time of prayer and reflection, leading to an Open Forum to be held on Sunday 29 June. The venue is yet to be finalised but probably Saint Matthew’s Academy auditorium. Please get involved by reading the notes, making suggestions and so on. If you would like a copy of the notes - as opposed to reading them on the website - please send an email requesting a copy. I’ll happily print out a copy for anyone who asks. Progress will be reported to you as we go along. Before Pentecost, we could have a parish meeting to discuss our part in the service.

DEANERY PRAYER SERVICE
As mentioned above, to mark Pentecost Sunday and our way forward as we Embrace Change, there will be a deanery prayer service in Saint John’s Church, Stevenston on Sunday 8 June at 3.00 pm.

BISHOP CUNNINGHAM
Bishop John Cunningham is ill a the moment. Bishop John has had a painful leg complaint almost all of his time as our Bishop. Because of his ill-health, he is anxious to retire and his resignation has been received by Rome but he and we have to wait for a new bishop to be appointed. This is something else to pray about.
