Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church. We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every £1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation. There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
In him who rose from the dead, our hope of resurrection dawned. The sadness of death gives way to the bright promise of immortality. Lord for your faithful people life is changed, not ended. When the body of our earthly dwelling lies in death. we gain an everlasting dwelling place in heaven. Preface for Christian death - read at funerals
If you would like to produce a Thought for the Week, please email it to Office@SaintPeterInChains.net. Thanks.

EMBRACING THE FUTURE
The updated report Three Horizons With Lay People is on the parish website. Some interesting ideas emerge - some to them are things we can do nothing about at local level, for example, married priests, women priests, bringing priests from elsewhere and so on but some of them are things we could do. The proposal is to bring together those who were able to attend the meeting, invite others and share ideas at a parish level then hold a different kind of meeting in Saint Matthew's Academy before Christmas with a view to looking at all practical ideas and seeing how to take them forward. Printed copes can be made available or emailed to you - just ask.

VISITORS
Are you visiting us for Mass? Please know that you are very welcome. During the 10.30 am Mass outwith holidays, there is a Children’s Liturgy provided for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme for children in Primary 4. After the 10.30 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and buns are available in the Parish Centre. At both of our weekend Masses, we have a second collection for our Parish Centre upkeep.
