Sunday Mass times in Saint Peter's are 5.30 pm Vigil and 10.30 am. Sunday Mass times in other local parishes can be seen here.

The Sacrament of Forgiveness is available at any suitable time as well as from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

Bankers Orders for the parish and Parish Centre amount to £3800 per month. Every month, we pay a levy of £1450 to the Diocese. We are grateful for your generous support in collections. If you can manage a little more from time to time, it would be a great help. Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are available. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £583.99 - many thanks.

Last weekend's Maintenance Fund collection amounted to £262.25 - many thanks.

The Inland Revenue now requires us to use a new style of Gift Aid form. These are available at the back of the Church and on the parish website. If you pay tax, please complete the new form and return it to the box provided. This allows us to provide the additional information required on the Gift Aid claim. Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church. We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every £1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation. There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.

New collection envelopes are now available at the stall. Please let us know if you wish to switch to a standing order. Forms are available.

Next weekend's readers are Marade Griffin at 5.30 pm and Margaret Harvey and Krista Ward at 10.30 am.

Next weekend's altar servers are Aidan and Calum at 5.30 pm and Group 3 at 10.30 am.

Next Sunday's teas will be served by Sadie Gilmourís team.

The Children's Liturgy is celebrated during the 10.30 am Mass each Sunday. All children are welcome. Next week's helpers are Claire Sweenie and Linda Martin for the pre-fives, Jacqueline Waugh and Michelle Champion for primaries 1 and 2, Elaine Shaw and Maria Paterson for primary 3 and Emma Paterson and Laura Hamilton for primary 4.

Our new Bishop is Father William Nolan currently Parish Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, East Kilbride. His ordination will take place on Saturday 14 February 2015 in the Grand Hall, Kilmarnock at 11.00 am. None of our Churches is big enough. We will try to organise a bus. We have been asked to give an indication of how many places we might need so there is a list at the Stall. This is not a bus list nor a firm booking list. It is just to have an indication so that places can be reserved.

Sunday, 8 February marks World Day of Prayer and the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. There will be Mass at 4.00 pm in the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Kirkton Road, Kilmarnock, KA3 2DF. If you wish the Sacrament of the Sick, please inform a member of the Hospitalité.

Holy Hour with a short introduction and a short concluding prayer will be held to pray for the new Bishopís ministry in our diocese in Saint Johnís Church, Stevenston at 3.00 pm on Sunday 8 February. Come and spend a little time in prayer.

We will mark Catholic Education Week at Sunday Mass on 14 and 15 February. The Education Week Mass will be on Wednesday 11 February at 7.00 pm in
Saint Matthew's Academy, Saltcoats. The Mass will have a particular focus on the Caritas pupils in sixth year.

The Sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion will be celebrated this year at the 10.30 am Mass on Sundays 3, 10 and 17 May, as we have done for many years. The reason for the three Sundays is so that the children are easily called by name, have enough room for family and friends and are made to feel as special as they are. Twenty-nine children are on our list, including those added recently, so about ten children each Sunday would be comfortable. I will put a list at the stall for you to choose whichever Sunday suits. I am happy to add another Sunday or arrange any other date you may require. I know that family work and travel arrangements can be difficult. Just let me know. There will be a meeting for parents on 19 February at 7.30 pm in the Church.

The Diocese of Galloway requires a part-time assistant for SPRED, Spiritual and Personal Development, for people with special needs. The salary is £9.70 per hour for twenty hours a week on a two year fixed term contract and renewable subject to annual review. There may be unsocial hours, some evening and weekend work. The post is subject to a Protecting Vulnerable Groups disclosure check. All enquiries to be made to Sister Kathleen Hogg, Director SPRED, Queen Margaret Academy, Dalmellington Road, AYR, KA7 3TL. The telephone number is 01292 263196 and the closing date is 28 February 2015.

Lord, make me know your ways. Lord, teach me your paths. Make me walk in your truth and teach me for you are God my saviour.
Psalm 24 from todayís Mass

Very many thanks to all who made the Burns Supper a great success.

A Summary of the Meeting of the Deanery Priests on 18 November 2014 and a Summary of the Meeting in Saint Matthew's Academy on 30 November 2014 are now posted on Saint Peter's website. If you would like a copy, please ask and I will print one for you. The idea was to look at themes produced by previous meetings and then move on to some practical ideas we might try to carry out as we look for a way forward. Many ideas were put forward. The report is now being discussed by the Priests and we hope to move forward with some of the ideas. The whole purpose of Embracing Change is to move our ideas forward - to get away from a Church where decisions, plans, ideas and so on, are made by one person or a few people - to a Church fully involving everyone who wants to contribute. It calls for a new way of being Church. It might mean giving up old traditions, ways of doing things, even buildings and embracing new ideas about what Jesus is asking of us and where the Spirit is leading us. Pope Francis seems fearless in moving forward, we must be too.

During the 10.30 am Mass outwith holidays, there is a Childrenís Liturgy provided for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme for children in Primary 4. After the 10.30 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and buns are available in the Parish Centre. At both of our weekend Masses, we have a second collection for our Parish Centre upkeep.

The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone. It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever capacity
with the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
