SUNDAY MASS TIMES
Sunday Mass times in Saint Peter's are 5.30 pm Vigil and 10.30 am. Sunday Mass times in other local parishes can be seen here.

SACRAMENT OF FORGIVENESS
The Sacrament of Forgiveness is available at any suitable time as well as from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

HOSPITAL CHAPLAINCY
If a member of your family or a friend is sick, please let us know and give us the details. Deacon Bill Corbett (01292 521208, 07904 248948, Rev.BillCorbett@btinternet.com) is the chaplain to Crosshouse Hospital and is assisted by the priest on call each week.

FINANCES
Bankers Orders for the Parish and Parish Centre amount to £3500 per month. We are grateful for your generous support in collections. If you can manage a little more from time to time, it would be a great help. A Standing Order would make the handling of money so much easier. Have you signed a Gift Aid form? If you are a taxpayer the Church would get 25p added to every £1 you donate.

COLLECTIONS
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £833.90 and the Maintenance Fund collection to £286.53 - many thanks.

GIFT AID
The Inland Revenue now requires us to use a new style of Gift Aid form. These are available at the back of the Church and on the parish website. If you pay tax, please complete the new form and return it to the box provided. This allows us to provide the additional information required on the Gift Aid claim. Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church. We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every £1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation. There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.

PARISH RECORDS
Our parish records are covered by the Data Protection Act and are for parish use only. We cannot give out phone numbers or addresses. Please help us to keep our records up to date using the cards provided.

READERS
Next weekend's readers are Marade Griffin at 5.30 pm and Robert Cooper at 10.30 am.

ALTAR SERVERS
Next weekend's altar servers are Group 1 at 5.30 pm and Group 2 at 10.30 am.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY
Next week's Children's Liturgy helpers are Jacqueline Waugh for the pre-fives, Maria Paterson-Kidd and George Kidd for Primaries 1, 2 and 3 and Andrena Hughes and Emily Tarbet for Primary 4. Canon Matt would like to meet with those who assist with the Children's Liturgy. I will contact you in the next few days about meeting after Easter. We need to sort out a few details and see if we can remedy the situation where it appears that more adults than children go out each Sunday.

SUNDAY TEAS
Next Sunday's teas will be served by Sharon McLaughlin's team.

LENT
Lent, our journey to Easter, reaches its climax this week. This week is different to all other weeks. It is when we remember the suffering and resurrection of our Saviour. Make it a special time. Good Friday is a day when we should fast and do penance.

PASSOVER MEAL
We invite all the members of the other churches in the area to share the Passover meal of lamb, unleavened bread, bitter herbs and sweet haroseth - the ingredients Jesus would have used - on Monday evening at 7.00 pm. All are welcome.

HUSTINGS FOR THE LOCAL ELECTIONS
Hustings for the local elections, which take place on 4 May, will be held on
   - Monday 24 April in Saltcoats Town Hall for Ward 9, Saltcoats, which has seven candidates
   - Wednesday 26 April in Ardrossan Indoor Bowling Club for Ward 5, Ardrossan and Arran, which has seven candidates
   - Thursday 27 April in the High Kirk Hall, Stevenston for Ward 4, Stevenston, which has nine candidates
Invitations will be sent to all the candidates. The meetings are organised by the Three Towns Churches and start at 7.30 pm. The hustings will be chaired by
Canon Matt. Come and meet the candidates and have your say. We will avoid the referendum proposal, Brexit and other concerns of the two Parliaments and attempts to stick to the work of North Ayrshire Council.

50/50 CLUB
New 50/50 Club members are very welcome at any time of the year. For more information, please contact the Promotor, Mrs Myriame Sammons on 469006.

GLENIFFER SINGERS
The Gleniffer Singers are performing a summer concert at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, South Crescent Road on Friday 5 May 2017 at 7.30 pm. There will be an easy listening programme with songs from the musicals and film, popular and folk, gospel and secular music. Tickets costing £10 for adults and £6 for children include refreshments after the concert and can be booked by emailing stuart_mitchell_99@yahoo.com.

FORMING INTENTIONAL DISCIPLES
We now have the maximum numbers for Forming Intentional Disciples. Full details will be sent out to the group shortly. Hopefully, another group will be formed soon.

PARISH LOURDES GROUP QUIZ NIGHT
Our next fundraiser to assist financially with sick pilgrims going to Lourdes in July will be a Quiz Night on Friday 28 April at 7.30 pm in the Parish Centre. Tickets cost £5 and it is a Bring Your Own Bottle evening. We depend on your continued support and appreciate any donations of prizes for the raffle. Please contact any committee member, the Parish Office or Harry on 469006 for tickets.

MARY'S MEALS BACKPACK APPEAL
Thank you for your generosity in the past. We are still collecting all items listed in the magazine but are particularly looking for the following items - coloured pencils, pencil cases, sharpeners, twelve inch rulers, dessert spoons and tennis balls or balls of a similar size. Please put any items in the blue box marked Mary's Meals in the Church porch.

VISITORS
Are you visiting us for Mass? Please know that you are very welcome. During the 10.30 am Mass outwith holidays, there is a Children’s Liturgy provided for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme for children in Primary 4. After the 10.30 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and buns are available in the Parish Centre. At both of our weekend Masses, we have a second collection for Church maintenance.

ADVERTISER SUPPORT
Our advertisers would welcome your support. We are grateful for their continuing sponsorship. We are grateful for the support of Mr and Mrs Sohal, Nisa Stores, Glasgow Street for the weekly donation of tea, coffee and milk for the Sunday teas.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT

with the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
