from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.
HOSPITAL
CHAPLAINCY
If a member of your family or a friend is sick, please let us know and give
us the details. Deacon Bill Corbett (01292 521208, 07904 248948, Rev.BillCorbett@btinternet.com)

each week.
FINANCES
Bankers Orders for the Parish and Parish Centre amount to £3500 per
month. We are grateful for your generous support in collections. If you can
manage a little more from time to time, it would be a great help. A Standing
Order would make the handling of money so much easier. Have you signed a Gift
Aid form? If you are a taxpayer the Church would get 25p added to every £1
you donate.
COLLECTIONS
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £732.90 and the Maintenance
Fund collection to £281.15 - many thanks.
GIFT AID
The Inland Revenue now requires us to use a new style of Gift
Aid form. These are available at the back of the Church and on the parish
website. If you pay tax, please complete the new form and return it to the
box provided. This allows us to provide the additional information required
on the Gift Aid claim. Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed
is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church.
We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every
£1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation.
There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.
PARISH RECORDS
Our parish records are covered by the Data Protection Act and are for parish
use only. We cannot give out phone numbers or addresses. Please help us to
keep our records up to date using the cards provided.
READERS
Next weekend's readers are Ronnie Cairns at 5.30 pm and Tom
Reid at 10.30 am.
ALTAR SERVERS
Next weekend's altar servers are Group 1 at 5.30
pm and Group 4 at 10.30 am.

Waugh for the pre-fives and Andrena Hughes and Teresa Louden for
Primaries 1, 2 and 3.

were all very much appreciated. She had an awesome day - thank you all.

the first time, nine of them this morning at 10.30 am Mass.
CLOTHING
APPEAL IN AID OF CHERNOBYL CHILDREN'S LIFELINE
Another group of ten girls is coming from the Ukraine to Ayrshire in July
for four weeks. We always try and supply the children with some good second
hand clothing to wear while they are here and then to take home with them.
We are very short this year and are looking for clean good quality second
hand clothing for girls aged between nine and thirteen years. We need jeans,
jumpers, hoodies, sweatshirts, tee-shirts, leggings and jackets. I thank you
in advance for your continued support of our charity and I hope you get the
chance to meet the children when they visit Saint
John’s Church, Stevenston. If you have anything to donate or would be
interested in finding out more about the charity please contact us on 01294
461234 or 07813 650411. Michael
and Lisa Lafferty
50/50 CLUB
The 50/50 Club welcomes new members for only £15 annually with a chance
of winning prizes and supporting the parish at the same time. Membership forms
are available at the back porch and can be returned to the Parish Office or
the Promoter Mrs Myriame Sammons on 469006. When we increase membership, we
can also increase prize money. If you feel lucky why not join now?
APPARITION HILL
Apparition Hill, a film about life and Medjugorge will be shown in the Waterfront
Cinema, Greenock on Sunday 21 May at 7.30 pm. Tickets can be bought at the
Cinema or from Claire Evans on 07879 818865.
HOLY FATHER'S PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR MAY
Pope Francis's prayer intentions
for May are for Christians in Africa - that Christians in Africa, in imitation
of the Merciful Jesus, may give prophetic witness to reconciliation, justice,
and peace.
FORMING INTENTIONAL DISCIPLES
The Forming Intentional Disciples has now got together and meets on Tuesday
evenings for six weeks.
MARY'S MEALS BACKPACK APPEAL
Thank you for your generosity in the past. We are still collecting all items
listed in the magazine but are particularly looking for the following items
- coloured pencils, pencil cases, sharpeners, twelve inch rulers, dessert
spoons and tennis balls or balls of a similar size. Please put any items in
the blue box marked Mary's Meals in the Church porch.
HOMELESSNESS IN NORTH AYRSHIRE
Many thanks for your past generosity. There is an ongoing need to provide
basics for people who become homeless. During May and June, we are appealing

razors and toilet bags. A fuller list is on the box at the back of the Church.
