BANKER'S ORDERS, GIFT AID AND WILLS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £410.13 - many thanks.

THANKS
Many thanks to the children who were such a good example to us as they were confirmed and received Holy Communion for the first time and to their parents and family members. We would also like to thank the staff of Saint Peter's Primary School, the young musicians and in a special way the adults who gave so much help with the Sunday morning preparation programme.

READERS
Next weekend's readers are Pauline Taylor, Sarah Guthrie and Ronnie Cairns.

THREE TOWNS CHURCHES CRUISE
Due to some unforeseen work being carried out on the Waverley, the Charity Evening Cruise originally arranged for Wednesday 18 June will take place on Wednesday 30 July. Tickets already purchased will be valid for this new date. If this new date is not suitable, a full refund will be given.

CATHOLIC NEWSPAPERS
Each week, we have copies of the Scottish Catholic Observer and The Universe available for sale. They are informative on events happening in the Catholic world in Scotland and the rest of the world. Perhaps you could reserve your copy at the stall. This would ensure that we order enough and not too many.

Saint Peter's Conference of the
Saint Vincent de Paul Society wish to express sincere thanks to everyone who supported its Coffee Morning by donating baking, raffle prizes, bric a brac, books and so on; to all who worked so hard by helping on the day and of course to everyone who came to buy so generously. A grand total of £1030 was raised and this has been rounded up by the Conference so that a cheque for £1500 is being sent to Our Lady of the Wayside Conference to assist with their work running the Ozanam Centre for the Homeless. Thank you once again for your support and generosity.

The Galloway Music Network is organising an event called 'Singing the Mass' to bring musicians and singers from parishes in the diocese together to share their musical gifts and to spend an afternoon preparing music for the Vigil Mass of the Tenth Sunday in Ordinary Time. It is hoped that the experience might encourage musicians and singers in their own parish ministry and also build up relationships and share good practice among musicians and singers form different parishes. Even if you just enjoy singing, you will also be very welcome. The event will take place on Saturday 7 June in the Church of Our Lady and Saint Cuthbert, 28 Dailly Road, Maybole and will begin with a light lunch at 1.00 pm and finish with the Parish Mass at 5.30 pm. For further information, contact Michael McCulloch.

SAINT PETER'S NURSERY
The Nursery premises have experienced some petty vandalism over the last few weekends with taps left running, toys moved or missing, names scribbled on the blackboard, birthday cake removed, birthday sweets opened and so on. The staff think it is children - the names might be a clue! Please report anything unusual to Michael or Fiona. Child Protection rules mean we must report any possible attempt to access pupil's files and so on.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone. It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever capacity with the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
