SUNDAY COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection amounted to £679.07. We are grateful for your generous support of the Parish. Banker's Orders amount to an average of £4400 per month.

BANKER'S ORDERS, GIFT AID AND WILLS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £281.90 - many thanks.

READERS
Next weekend's readers are Margaret Munn, Michael Clarke and Angela Body.

BULLETIN AND WORSHIP SHEETS
Notices for inclusion in the Bulletin need to be here by Thursday of each week. After Mass we would be grateful if you would return the worship sheets to the boxes for use at a later Mass.

SCOTTISH CATHOLIC INTERNATIONAL AID FUND (SCIAF) BOXES
Please continue to use SCIAF boxes throughout the year or make a box of your own. Please hand in any donations for forwarding to SCIAF for our poorest brothers and sisters.

THREE TOWNS CHURCHES CRUISE
The Charity Evening Cruise will take place on Wednesday 30 July. Tickets already purchased will be valid for this new date. If this new date is not suitable a full refund will be given. All the Churches in Ardrossan are combining for the Cruise. Profits go the Vine Trust for work in South America. Cruise leaves Ardrossan 6.15 pm and should return around 9.15 pm. Tickets are £18 and £8. We have only a few of our allocation left.

SAINT PETER'S CHILDREN'S CENTRE
Afternoon places are available in Saint Peter's Nursery starting in August 2008. For more information and an application form, please contact Josephine Coulter.

CATHOLIC NEWSPAPERS
Each week, we have copies of the Scottish Catholic Observer and The Universe available for sale. They are informative on events happening in the Catholic world in Scotland and the rest of the world. Perhaps you could reserve your copy at the stall. This would ensure that we order enough and not too many.

FATHER JOHN
We had a meeting on Monday and there was general agreement that we should do our best to support Father John. A fund, for legal reasons separate from the Parish Accounts, will be opened as a way of sending help to Father John. This is safer than sending help to him directly. Cheques should be made payable to Father John Fundraising Account. Some events have already been arranged and more ideas will be welcomed. There will be a Tanzanian Auction, like a Chinese Auction, in the Parish Centre on Wednesday 18 June at 7.30 pm. Entry costs £1 and includes tea or coffee. Please bring an item to auction. Your trash is someone else's treasure. There will be a sponsored walk on Saturday 5 July at 10.00 am. Bring the family and a picnic. Walk from Saint Peter's to the Waterside Inn, Seamill, have a picnic and walk back at your own leisure. For sponsor forms, contact Marlene Crichton.

URGENT - HUMAN EMBRYOLOGY AND FERTILISATION BILL
The Human Embryology and Fertilisation Bill and other 'life' legislation comes back to the Commons soon for final reading. Please take time to write to Katy Clark MP and ask her to reconsider her vote. Template letters are available. Thanks.

NEW PASTOR
The Church of the Nazarene in Glasgow Street has appointed a new Pastor. There is an invitation to all Saint Peter's parishioners to met him at a social at the Church on Sunday at 4.30 pm.

HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER
The Parish requires a Health and Safety Officer. We have all the paperwork, all the rules, the diocesan manual and so on. The job would be suitable for someone who has or has had such experience at work. You would certainly be better than the Parish Priest whose responsibility it is at the moment. Please call me.

THURSDAY CLUB HOLIDAY IN WALES
The bus for the Thursday Club holiday to Wales leaves Saint Peter's car park on Monday 30 June at 8.00 am.

BULLETIN
If you would like the Bulletin sent to your computer, please give us an email address.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone. It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever capacity with the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
