SUNDAY COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection amounted to £696.78. We are grateful for your generous support of the Parish. Banker's Orders amount to an average of £4400 per month.

BANKER'S ORDERS, GIFT AID AND WILLS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £324.49 - many thanks.

READERS
Next weekend's readers are Elsie Brodie Vigil, Sarah Guthrie 10.00 am and Jim Delahunt 12 00 noon.

BULLETIN AND WORSHIP SHEETS
Notices for inclusion in the Bulletin need to be here by Thursday of each week. After Mass we would be grateful if you would return the worship sheets to the boxes for use at a later Mass.

THREE TOWNS CHURCHES CRUISE
The Charity Evening Cruise will take place on Wednesday 30 July. All the churches in Ardrossan are combining for the cruise. Profits go the Vine Trust for work in South America. The cruise leaves Ardrossan Harbour at 6.15 pm and should return around 9.15 pm. Tickets are £18 and £8. Our allocation has now gone but it may be possible to get you some tickets if you are interested but there is a waiting list.

FATHER JOHN
A short meeting to agree a constitution and to form a committee to raise funds for Father John will be held at 7 pm on Monday 14 July the Ardrossan Youth Club hut in Stanley Road. We hope to raise money to send to Father John in December. Any one interested will be most welcome. Many events are ongoing. There will be a sponsored walk on Saturday 5 July at 10.00 am. Bring the family and a picnic. Walk from Saint Peter's to the Waterside Inn, Seamill, have a picnic and walk back at your leisure. For sponsor forms contact Marlene Crichton. Have you got an idea for raising funds?

IGNATIAN PRAYER GROUP
The Ignatian Prayer Group will meet again after the summer holiday.

URGENT - HUMAN EMBRYOLOGY AND FERTILISATION BILL
The Human Embryology and Fertilisation Bill and other 'life' legislation comes back to the Commons soon for final reading. Please take time to write to Katy Clark MP and ask her to reconsider her vote. Template letters are available. Thanks.

THANKS TO THE VOLUNTEERS
The Parish has a volunteer Health and Safety Officer. We have a voluntary trainer and two volunteers from North Ayrshire Community Involvement Project who work hard on a Friday tidying bushes and the grounds. We also have a volunteer computer geek who keeps the network running and a volunteer parishioner who does some secretarial work, presently on two mornings a week. I hope to increase this fairly soon.

THURSDAY CLUB HOLIDAY IN WALES
The bus for the Thursday Club holiday to Wales leaves Saint Peter's car park on Monday 30 June at 8.00 am. We wish them good weather.

PARISH VOLUNTEERS
Bishop Cunningham will celebrate a Mass of thanksgiving for all the hard work and dedication given to the Church by all volunteers in parishes. The Mass will be celebrated in Saint Margaret's Cathedral, Ayr on Sunday 14 September at 3.30 pm. A good attendance would be greatly appreciated as this is the first time a Mass of thanksgiving has been held. Notices for numbers will be displayed in August to ascertain whether a bus should be ordered.

TWENTY-THOUSANDTH VISIT TO SAINT PETER'S WEBSITE
On 26 June, Saint Peter's website had its 30000th visit since it was launched on 13 July 2005. The site has over 900 pages, 500 photographs, 200 bulletins between 1960 and 2008, 5000 links, some audio clips of the choir and has been viewed in at least 38 countries. It contains many articles on past and present spiritual and community life in Saint Peter's. Canon Matt and the website author are very grateful to those who have accessed the site, lent photographs, passed on stories, identified errors, made suggestions and expressed compliments. The aims of the site are to make parishioners aware of current events and record our history. If you can help with this project, please contact WebsiteAuthor@SaintPeterinChains.net.

YOUTH FOR LOURDES
There will be a Car Boot Sale on Saturday 12 July from 10.00 am to 2.00pm in aid of Youth For Lourdes 2009 in the grounds of the Church of Our Lady, Star of the Sea, Saltcoats. Cream Teas will be served in the hall for £1.50. Anyone wishing to book a car parking space should contact Margaret Simpson. Pre-booked cars will be charged £5.00.

EVELYNE AND ALFIE THANKS
