OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £698.40. We are grateful
for your generous support of the Parish and the Diocese to which we pay a
monthly levy of £1250.
PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £245.30
- many thanks. Each month we pay off our Parish Centre debt by £3000.
BANKER'S
ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling
of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of
£3800 per month. Forms are available.
GIFT AID
Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give
to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Forms are available.

HOLY COMMUNION
If you are at Mass find it difficult to get down for Communion, please come
to the front or you could ask whoever is with you to ask for a sacred host
to bring to you in your seat.
BURNS
SUPPER
The
Burns
Supper will be held in the Parish Centre on Saturday 23 January
2010. Patrons are asked
to be seated by 7.20 pm for a prompt 7.30 pm start. George McGrattan will
chair the event. Ciaran Sinclair will pipe in the top table guests and haggis.
Canon Matt McManus will welcome and thank participants. Bill Andrew will recite
the Address To A Haggis. Bill Nolan, past president of Irvine Burns Club,
will deliver The Immortal Memory. Eric Allan, head teacher of Saint Matthew's
Academy, Saltcoats, will propose the Toast to the Lassies and Mary-Rose Martin,
head teacher of Ardrossan Academy will reply. Music will be provided by the
folk group, A Pinch o' Salt[coats] - Dusty Millar, Tommy Bingham and John
Slavin. Catering will be done by the Parish Centre team. More information

costing £10 are on sale at the Parish Office on 464063.
CROSSHOUSE HOSPITAL
If you or a family member is going into Crosshouse Hospital and wishes a visit
from the hospital Chaplain, please let us know. The Chaplain is Father Martin
Chambers and his telephone number is 01563 533587. If you or a family member
is housebound, please let us know. Unless told, we don’t know about it.
BEING
CATHOLIC WEBSITE
The Catholic Church in Scotland has a new website advertising meetings and
courses which you might find interesting. The address is www.BeingCatholic.org.
WORLD'S LARGEST BIBLE
The entire text of the Bible incorporated into an image of Michelangelo's
Creation of Adam will be on display in the Parish Centre over a weekend. The
date will be notified.

HILLHOUSE CARE
Hillhouse Care is the new name for The Innocents in Kilmarnock and continues
to care for children in need as before. They always welcome children's clothing

more prizes. Sincere thanks goes to all our members for their continued support
of the 50/50 Club in 2009. Thanks also to the Collectors for their support

CANON MATT
Canon
Matt will be away from home from Monday 11 to Friday 15
January. Father Jim Hayes (463461), Father Martin Poland (463225) and Father
Gabriel
will cover.
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
The World Day Of Prayer is to be held in the Church of the Nazarene, Glasgow
Street, Ardrossanat 4.00pm on Friday 5 March. Mrs Jane Austin of the Church
of the Nazarene has intimated a United Bible Study Course which is open to
all. The dates are Wednesday 27 January, Wednesday 10 February and Wednesday
24 February at 7.30pm. You would be made very welcome - just turn up for a
7.30 pm start.
WEEKDAY MASSES
The weekday Masses on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are cancelled because
of the weather. It is too much to expect Father
Gabriel
to travel from Largs each day. There will be Mass on Monday, Friday and Saturday
mornings.
