OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £739.80. We are grateful for your generous support of the Parish and the Diocese to which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £360.63 - many thanks.

BANKER'S ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are available.

GIFT AID
Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Forms are available.

WILLS
Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

READERS
Next weekend's readers are Louise Moore at 5.30 pm, Sarah Gurthrie at 10.00 and Tom Reid at 12 noon. If you would consider becoming a Reader at Mass, please speak to Canon Matt or contact the Parish Office on 464063. Thank you. We are
especially short at the 10.00 am Sunday Mass.

HMS DASHER
Many thanks to all who catered for the HMS Dasher Association after their Service last weekend.

SUNDAY TEAS
Thanks to the groups who supply the tea and coffee each Sunday after Mass. The groups have shrunk a little bit lately and two - or even one - new groups would be great. Anyone willing to gather a few friends and become a Sunday Tea Group? The more groups the less often your turn comes round. Please phone
Canon Matt at the Parish Office.

LINEN ROTA
Please note that there is now an updated version of the Linen Rota available in the sacristy.

HILLHOUSE CARE
Hillhouse Care, formerly The Innocents, continues to care for children in need as before. Clothing, toys and baby equipment are gratefully received as are goods to sell the charity shop. Please phone 602179 for an uplift.

USED STAMPS FOR SAINT PATRICK’S MISSIONARY SOCIETY
There is a box by the Stall door for used Christmas stamps. A letter of thanks has been received from Father John McLaughlin. The proceeds from the stamps pay the salaries of catechists in various parts of Africa.

TRIP TO WALES
There will be a trip to Wales from 31 to 4 June. Places are still available - one twin and two double rooms. For further information, please telephone 601050.

COLLECTION OF TOILETRIES
The Ozanam Day Centre in Glasgow is run by the
Saint Vincent de Paul Society  to assist homeless men and women. We have again been asked to assist in the collection of toiletries during Lent so these might be distributed as a very practical way of assisting the great many people who use the Centre. A box to receive donations of all kinds of toiletries will be available in the Church porch during Lent and the local Conference thanks you in anticipation of your generosity.

VISITORS
Are you visiting us for Mass on Sunday? During the 10.00 am Mass there is a Children’s Liturgy provided for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme for children in Primary 4. After the 10.00 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and buns are available in the Parish Centre. At all of our weekend Masses, we have a second collection for our Parish Centre debt.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY
The Children's Liturgy is offered during the 10.00 am Mass. The group who offer this service is always grateful to have new names on the rota. You must have disclosure before you can take part and that is easily arranged. Please phone Michelle in the Parish Office on 464063 on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday morning.

COLLECTION ENVELOPES
New collection envelopes are now available at the stall. Very many thanks to those who pay their collection by standing order. The new financial year brings its own problems but we are making ends meet. Your continuing support of the Parish is much appreciated.

KITS FOR KIDS
Kits for Kids tokens in Daily Record can be handed in to the Parish Office and will be passed on to local football teams.

CANON MATT
Canon Matt will be away from home during Easter week. Father Hayes, in the midst of packing for a move to Dumfries, and Father Poland are available in an emergency. The Parish Office will be staffed as usual but no Priest is available to say Mass during this week.

FATHER JIM HAYES
Father Jim Hayes leaves Saint Mary’s, Saltcoats for Dumfries during this week. I personally will miss him greatly. He has
been a very good colleague and friend. I know that his Parishioners and Saint Matthew’s Academy, Saltcoats will also miss him and I thank him for all the help he has given Saint Peter’s in the five years he has been in Saltcoats.

FATHER GRAEME BELL
Father Graeme Bell is arriving to Saint Mary’s from Saint John’s, Cumnock this week. We wish him well in his ministry.

FATHER GERALD DONNELLY
Father Gerald Donnelly, Parish Priest of Dalry and Beith, will take up the chaplaincy at Saint Matthew’s Academy after the Easter break.

FATHER GABRIEL
Father Gabriel is presently having treatment in the Beatson Centre in Glasgow. We wish him a speedy recovery.

FATHER JOHN
Father John has written from Torino. He is missing everyone, working hard with very poor African migrants and sends his
best wishes to everyone in the Parish.

SCOTTISH CATHOLIC INTERNATIONAL AID FUND (SCIAF)
SCIAF acknowledges £330 for Haiti sent a few weeks ago. Many thanks for all the help you give SCIAF. This receipt is simply for money you handed in for forwarding. Other donations were sent directly.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone. It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever capacity
with the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
