PAPAL VISIT ARRANGEMENTS
Pope Benedict XVI will visit the United Kingdom from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 September. The Pope will spend Thursday 16 in Scotland. He will celebrate Mass in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow in the early evening of that day - the only public event. The Office for the Papal Visit has written to say that tickets will be available, transport will be arranged, no private cars will permitted within 45 minutes walk of the Park, shuttle buses will bring people to and from the Park to the designated bus parking area. All of the arrangements have to be finalised with Glasgow City Council and Strathclyde Police. Full details will be made public soon and we are urged not to make any private arrangements until full information is available.

PAPAL VISIT CHOIR
The diocese has a few places available in the choir for the Mass in Bellahouston Park. Names have to be submitted to the diocese. Send your name here or to The Diocese of Galloway, 8 Corsehill Road, Ayr, KA7 2ST.

PAPAL VISIT COLLECTION
We were asked to take the Papal Visit collection on Pentecost Sunday but only got a few days notice. With the Confirmations and First Communions, the collection got a bit lost. There are Gift Aid envelopes you can use. If you put something in the collection,
please fill up an envelope and drop it in. If you were unprepared for the collection, you can always put something in a envelope and put it in the offertory collection. Thanks.

PAPAL NUNCIO TO GREAT BRITAIN

SAINT PETER’S WEBSITE – FIFTY THOUSAND VISITS
On 27 May, Saint Peter's website had its fifty-thousandth visit since its launch on 13 July 2005. The site has over 1100 web pages, 650 pictures, 300 bulletins between 1960 and 2010, 8300 links, some audio and video clips and been viewed in 54 countries. It contains many articles on past and present spiritual and community life in Saint Peter's.
Canon Matt and the website author are very grateful to those who have accessed the site, lent photographs, passed on stories, identified errors, made suggestions and expressed compliments. The aims of the site are to make parishioners aware of current events and record our history. If you can help with this project, please contact WebsiteAuthor@SaintPeterinChains.net. The website address is www.SaintPeterInChains.net.
