SACRAMENT OF FORGIVENESS
The Sacrament of Forgiveness is available at any suitable time as well as from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £685.63 - many thanks. We are grateful for your generous support of the parish and the diocese to which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to
£307.12 - many thanks.

BANKER'S ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are available.

New collection envelopes for 2012-13 are now available at the stall.

GIFT AID
Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Forms are available.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY
The Children's Liturgy is run by volunteers on a rota basis. We are in need of more volunteers for the coming August session. Anyone can volunteer! As it takes a little time to gain disclosure, we need to think ahead. Please consider becoming a volunteer, especially if your child is currently in Primary 3 as they will be taking part in the Sacramental Preparation next year or if your child will be joining our three to five year olds Liturgy Group in August. If you are interested, please contact the Parish Office on 464063. Next Sunday's Children's Liturgy helpers are Emma Paterson and Yvette Thorpe for the pre-5s, Michelle Morton and Ann Cassidy for primaries 1 and 2, Jacqueline Smith and Michelle Millar for primary 3 and Maria Paterson and Lorraine Cullinane for Primary 4.

YOUTH PILGRIMAGE RETREAT IN JULY 2012
Sixteen to twenty-one year olds are invited to join a group from Galloway Diocese which will take part in the youth events at the New Dawn Scotland Family Conference-Retreat in Saint Andrews, Fife from Monday 2 July to Saturday 7 July 2012. The week offers the opportunity for young people to celebrate their Catholic faith with others their age through worship, talks, workshops, ministry, healing, celebration of the Sacraments and Mass and prayer and a pilgrimage walk to the historic ruins of Saint Andrew's Cathedral. The cost is £90 including transport from Ayrshire, accommodation and meals. VOCATIONS ENQUIRY RETREAT
A retreat will take place for those who wish to find out more about life as a diocesan priest. This event is offered without obligation or commitment from participants. It will give the opportunity to talk about becoming a diocesan priest in the company of priests, other enquirers and candidates for the seminary. There is no charge for this event. It will take place from 6.00 pm on 1 June to 3.00 pm on 3 June. 50/50 CLUB WINNERS
Congratulations go to our 50/50 Club winners for April. The following members each win £25 - 97 Delia McAteer, 120 Mary Sammons, 51 Kathleen Collins and 166 Jim Delahunt. The April £100 bonus winner was 1 Mrs M Sammons. The winners of the May draw will be notified next week. Winners' cheques are posted directly to members. Please inform the Promoter of any change of address. We have a few members still to renew their membership for 2012. If you no longer wish to subscribe to the 50/50 Club, please let the Promoter know.

SAINT BRIDGET'S CHURCH, KILBIRNIE
Saint Bridget's Church celebrates its one-hundred and fiftieth anniversary this year. As part of the celebration, there will be an exhibition of photographs of the Church and Saint Bridget's School in Kilbirnie Library in the town's Avils Place. It runs for a month starting on Tuesday 10 April. More details can be seen at www.GerardBoyle.com.


CHURCH REPAIRS
We have a lot of maintenance to take care of. Lead has been stolen again and the Church needs painting. The repair funds stands at £1859.50.

SAINT MATTHEW'S ACADEMY QUIZ NIGHT
A Quiz Night and Disco in aid of Malawi will be held in Saint Matthew’s Academy, Saltcoats on Friday 18 May. Tickets cost £5 and include a light supper. Tickets can be purchased at the school office or can be reserved for collection on the night. Please contact Mrs Hughes on 01294 606680. This is the Academy's first Quiz Night and it is bound to be a success given the calibre of the Quizmaster, Father Gerry Donnelly. Don’t delay to avoid disappointment!

USED PRINTER CARTRIDGES AND OLD MOBILE PHONES
There is a large green box in the foyer of the Parish Centre and a small box at the stall where you can place all old printer cartridges and mobile phones for us to recycle. Through recycling these we can raise some much needed funds. Thanks.

PAPAL BLESSINGS
Papal Blessings for a
wedding, wedding anniversary or a special birthday can be ordered at the stall. The price of the parchment and postage has gone up drastically. We now have to ask £40 for the Blessing. Please leave plenty of time.

NEW MISSAL
New Missals containing the new Rite are now available at the stall £7.99 or £9.99.

LARGE PRINT MASS BOOKS
Mass Books in Polish are available from the stall. Sunday Readings in most European languages can be printed from the parish website.

NOVENA CANDLES
There is a nice selection of Novena Candles available at the stall.

LAPEL CROSSES
Cardinal O’Brien called on all Catholics to 'wear a cross with pride' these days. We have a few lapel crosses available at the stall.

VISITORS
Are you visiting us for Mass? Please know that you are very welcome. During the 10.00 am Mass there is a Children’s Liturgy provided for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme for children in Primary 4. After the 10.00 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and buns are available in the Parish Centre. At all of our weekend Masses, we have a second collection for our Parish Centre debt.

SACRAMENTS OF CONFIRMATION AND FIRST COMMUNION
We have chosen three Sundays this year because of the number of children being presented for the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion. The dates are Sundays 13, 20 and 27 May at the 10.00 am Mass. If there are any parishioners who have been baptised, but not confirmed, please speak to Canon Matt.
