SACRAMENT OF FORGIVENESS
The Sacrament of Forgiveness is available at any suitable time as well as from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £959.58 - many thanks. We are grateful for your generous support of the parish and the diocese to which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY
The Children's Liturgy is run by volunteers on a rota basis. We are in need of more volunteers for the coming August session. Anyone can volunteer! As it takes a little time to gain disclosure, we need to think ahead. Please consider becoming a volunteer, especially if your child is currently in Primary 3 as they will be taking part in the Sacramental Preparation next year or if your child will be joining our three to five year olds Liturgy Group in August. If you are interested, please contact the Parish Office on 464063. Next Sunday's Children's Liturgy helpers are Helen Pengilley and Yvette Thorpe for the pre-5s, Emma Paterson and Elaine Shaw for primaries 1 and 2 and Andrena Hughes and Michelle Morton for primary 3.

YOUTH PILGRIMAGE RETREAT IN JULY 2012
Sixteen to twenty-one year olds are invited to join a group from Galloway Diocese which will take part in the youth events at the New Dawn Scotland Family Conference-Retreat in Saint Andrews, Fife from Monday 2 July to Saturday 7 July 2012. The week offers the opportunity for young people to celebrate their Catholic faith with others their age through worship, talks, workshops, ministry, healing, celebration of the Sacraments and Mass and prayer and a pilgrimage walk to the historic ruins of Saint Andrew's Cathedral. The cost is £90 including transport from Ayrshire, accommodation and meals. VOCATIONS ENQUIRY RETREAT
A retreat will take place for those who wish to find out more about life as a diocesan priest. This event is offered without obligation or commitment from participants. It will give the opportunity to talk about becoming a diocesan priest in the company of priests, other enquirers and candidates for the seminary. There is no charge for this event. It will take place from 6.00 pm on 1 June to 3.00 pm on 3 June. SAINT BRIDGET'S CHURCH, KILBIRNIE
Saint Bridget's Church celebrates its one-hundred and fiftieth anniversary this year. As part of the celebration, there will be an exhibition of photographs of the Church and Saint Bridget's School in Kilbirnie Library in the town's Avils Place. It runs for a month starting on Tuesday 10 April. More details can be seen at www.GerardBoyle.com.


CHURCH REPAIRS
We have a lot of maintenance to take care of. Lead has been stolen again and the Church needs painting. Brown envelope donations of £135 and a further donation of £700 bring the total to £2914.50.

CHRISTIAN AID BARBECUE
It is hoped to repeat last year’s very successful barbecue on the afternoon of Sunday 12 August. All the churches in Ardrossan will take part.


EXPLORING THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH - PRAYER IN THE CATECHISM
The next study day on exploring the Catechism takes place in Saint Mary's Church, Irvine on Saturday 2 June from 11.30 am to 3.00. The presenter is Father Joseph Boland. Participants should bring a packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided.

There is a large green box in the foyer of the Parish Centre and a small box at the stall where you can place all old printer cartridges and mobile phones for us to recycle. Through recycling these we can raise some much needed funds. Thanks.

Papal Blessings for a
wedding, wedding anniversary or a special birthday can be ordered at the stall. The price of the parchment and postage has gone up drastically. We now have to ask £40 for the Blessing. Please leave plenty of time.

NEW MISSAL
New Missals containing the new Rite are now available at the stall £7.99 or £9.99.

LARGE PRINT MASS BOOKS
Mass Books in Polish are available from the stall. Sunday Readings in most European languages can be printed from the parish website.

NOVENA CANDLES
There is a nice selection of Novena Candles available at the stall.

LAPEL CROSSES
Cardinal O’Brien called on all Catholics to 'wear a cross with pride' these days. We have a few lapel crosses available at the stall.

HOLIDAY IN LETTERKENNY
The bus for Letterkenny will leave Saint Peter’s car park at 8.00 am on 28 May.

VISITORS
Are you visiting us for Mass? Please know that you are very welcome. During the 10.00 am Mass there is a Children’s Liturgy provided for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme for children in Primary 4. After the 10.00 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and buns are available in the Parish Centre. At all of our weekend Masses, we have a second collection for our Parish Centre debt.
