SUNDAY COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection amounted to £798.89. We are grateful for your generous support of the Parish. Banker's Orders amount to an average of £4400 per month.

BANKER'S ORDERS, GIFT AID AND WILLS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £312.42 - many thanks.

READERS
Next weekend's readers are Margaret Brogan at 5.30 pm, Michael Clarke at 10.00 am and Ronnie Cairns at 12.00 noon.

PARISH OFFICE
The Parish Office is normally staffed each weekday from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. Outside of these times, there may be someone there or you can leave a message on 464063.

MASS LEAFLETS
Mass Leaflets are our way of providing you with the Sunday Readings and the music for Mass. You are welcome to take one home or to the housebound. If you are not doing so, we would be grateful if you would return the Mass leaflets to the boxes for use at a later Mass. Please try not to leave bulletins and leaflets on the seat. It makes you and the Church look untidy. Thanks.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY
The Children's Liturgy has resumed for three to five year olds and Primary 1 to Primary 3 pupils today. The Children's Sacramental Programme has begun and their Sunday Liturgy will start next Sunday. If your children attend the Liturgy at any stage would you consider helping the children? Due to children and parents moving up groups, we are in need of volunteers to help with the Children's Liturgy. If you are interested, please add your name to the list on the notice board at the back of the Church or contact the Parish Office on 464063 with your details for gaining disclosure.

SCOTTISH CATHOLIC OBSERVER
The Scottish Catholic Observer is now available in Crosshouse Hospital and Ayr Hospital.

LEGION OF MARY
An Edel Quinn celebration will be held on Sunday 5 October from 2.00 to 4.00 pm in Saint Winin's Church, Kilwinning. Tea will be served in the hall afterwards. All are welcome.

OUR DAY BY DAY
Our Day By Day is a little monthly booklet of scripture readings and thought for each day. You could find it invaluable. The October issue is complimentary. If you would like to subscribe, please put your name on the list at the stall. We could make it available at £15 per yearly subscription or £1.50 per month.

RACE NIGHT
There is a Race Night planned for 14 November. A replacement carpet in the Church depends on it. I need a group to help me plan it and carry it out. No experience is necessary although it would be useful. There will be a meeting in the presbytery on Monday 6 October at 7.30 pm
.

FATHER JOHN
Father John has moved to his mission in Italy to work with African immigrants. He would love to hear from you. His address is Father John Maendeleo, Chiesa di San Rocco, Via dei Mercanti 4, 10122, Turin, Italy. His land line phone number is 0039011 535323 and his mobile phone number is 0039389 0985511. Alison Montgomery will give a presentation with slides of her trip to Tanzania and her meeting with
Father John on Wednesday 8 October at 7.30 pm in the Parish Centre. All are welcome.

.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone. It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever capacity with the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and voluntary members, to work together to prevent the
physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
