be away from home during Easter Week till Friday. Apart from Easter Monday,
the Parish Office will be staffed at the usual times. Father Jim Hayes of Saint
Mary’s
Church, Saltcoats will deal with any urgent calls. His telephone number

MONSIGNOR
PETER MAGEE
Congratulations to Monsignor
Peter Magee who has been appointed Judical Vicar of the Scottish National
Tribunal. It means moving to Glasgow but the post is one of great importance to
the Church in Scotland. Peter now becomes our senior advisor in matter of Canon
Law.
FATHER
JOHN MAENDELEO
Father
John is working with African migrants in Torino, Italy. Father John sends
his prayers and Easter greetings to everyone in the Parish.
FATHER TOM
McCANN
Father Tom McCann, a retired priest of our diocese, has died in Dumfries.
Tom’s death means four of our priests have died this year. Please remember them
in your prayers.

notify him if you or a family member is going into Crosshouse. The hospital is
unable do it. A message will be passed on. If you or a family member is housebound,
please let us know. Unless told, we don’t know about it.
HOSPITALITÉ
DE NOTRE DAME DE LOURDES
Hospitalité de Notre Dame de Lourdes is the
group which organises the pilgrimage to Lourdes every second year. Our group will
be going on pilgrimage from 6 to 13 July this year. In order to ensure the pilgrimage
is a success, the group is in urgent need of trained nurses and carers to work
as part of a medical team caring for the sick pilgrims of our diocese. Male and
female helpers for general duties are also required. If you are interested or
would like more information, please contact Debbie Gillon on 07531 016747. Thank

We have the booking details for ordinary pilgrims.

PETER’S CHILDREN’S CENTRE
A few afternoon places are available in the nursery
starting in August 2009 for children who have reached their third birthday. For
more information and to register phone Josephine.
MAGGIE’S
CANCER CENTRES
A folk concert will take place at Saint Mary’s Church Hall,
Saltcoats on Friday 24 April from 8.00 pm to midnight. The artistes are the Von
Crapp Singers, Brendan Dunne, George and Michael, Charlie Martin and Ellen and
Greg. Tickets costing £5 and £4 concession include supper and can
be bought from Julie Breen, Marade Griffin, Meg Henning, Ellen Quirke, Katie Hornby
or Jo Hunter.
FIVE DAY TRIP TO HARROGATE
A five day trip to Harrogate,
North Yorkshire is planned for 22 to 26 June. It includes two en-route excursions
and two in-resort excursions. Departure is from the Church car park at 9.30 am.
The cost is £296 per person sharing with a single supplement of £30.

IGNATIAN PRAYER
GROUP DAY RETREAT
There will be an Ignatian Prayer Group retreat on Sunday
5 April at Notre Dame Convent, Skelmorlie starting at 10.00 am and finishing at
4.00 pm.

appreciate the tokens from the Daily Record collected over the next ten weeks.
